Act and Regulations relating to Learnerships
The Skills Development Act of 1998 and the Skills Development Levies Act of 1999 are the most important pieces of legislation relating to learnerships. These were passed in order to set up new structures and funding policies, with the aim of increasing in investment in relevant and good quality education and training. The roles of the SETAs in terms of managing levies and funding are governed by this legislation. In this section you will find the actual Acts and Regulations relating to learnerships.
