NQF won the best stand trophy at the SABC Career Fair

The National Qualifications Framework (NQF) was showcased at the SABC Career Fair on 11-13 May at the Pietermaritzburg Showgrounds . The NQF exhibition stand won the best stand out of 33 stands that were at the Fair, as it proved to be one of the great ones, visually, and in terms of valuable information provided.

Around 6500 learners, educators and parents attended the Fair and approximately 3 000 visited the NQF stand. The NQF exhibition team made 4 presentations over the three days, and these were attended by over 4 000 learners and about 50 educators.

Those attending the Fair, including Grade 10 – 12 learners , had the opportunity to learn about the NQF and how it can help them to make good choices regarding learning and careers. Career guidance initiatives currently undertaken by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) were also explained to learners, parents and educators.
