NQF Support Link Workshop: NQF and Recognition of Prior Learning
This interactive and practical workshop has been designed specifically for learning and development practitioners as well as training providers involved in RPL implementation.
The recognition of prior learning outlines the key defining features of RPL as theory and as practice. It is specifically aimed at those operating at a strategic systems and managerial level of understanding and implementation of RPL, but also serves as a useful introduction to RPL for any practitioner.
Attending this workshop will provide education and training leaders a solid grounding in the policies and practices required for officially recognised RPL in South Africa that will satisfy the requirements and intentions of the NQF.
This includes:
- The concept of RPL in terms of its origins, genesis, theory and principles;
- An overview of the policy and regulatory landscape;
- Operational aspects of RPL design and implementation;
- Providing RPL advice and support;
- Developing RPL policies, procedures and plans for an organisation; and
- Promoting RPL practices
The workshop is facilitated by an expert with extensive experience in this field.
Venue: Wits Professional Development Hub, Johannesburg
Date: 20 -23 February 2012
