Pace Career Centre and the International Association for Educational and Vocational Guidance (IEAVG) would like to invite you to the 2011 International Career Guidance Conference in South Africa, a country filled with natural beauty and diverse culture. Career guidance practices in South Africa are flourishing. Government policy which both promotes and enables career gudance delivery is driving this profession to a higher level. There is an undeniable need to identify and learn from other career guidance models being practiced around the globe. The delivery of career guidance in environments with high unemployment, a scarcity of essential skills, insufficient funding for further education, and low throughput rates at tertiary education level is not solely a South African reality. Indeed, there are many countries, both first and third world economies that experience similar challenges. Sincerley |
