NQF and career advice on radio this week
Prof. Hlengiwe Mkhize, the Higher Education and Training Deputy Minister, will be on radio this week encouraging the girl child to consider a career in the scarce skills fields.
Other objectives of this week's DHET/SAQA radio programmes will be:
- Demystifying the myth that women belong in some careers and not in others;
- Encouraging learners to consider a career in the scarce skills fields;
- Explaining the importance of scarce skills in the economic development of the country;
- Encouraging learners to start applying for admission; and
- Familiarising learners with the risks and consequences of enrolling for a qualification that is not NQF-accredited or at an institution that is not registered.
