How the new NQF levels impact current registered qualifications?
How will the current registered qualifications be impacted by the new NQF levels?Will a qualification that is currently on NQF level six be changed and reflected as NQF level seven, where appropriate?
In the vast majority of cases migration from a level eight to a level ten on the NQF will be a relatively simple matter of re-assigning levels to registered qualifications. Qualifications at the current level five may require a little more work to determine the qualification types as well as the complexity of learning in terms of the level descriptors. The SAQA database of qualifications will in all cases, reflect the previous levels as well as the newly assigned level.
