We Are Not In The Next Round Of The FIFA SWC
Fri, 25 Jun 2010 10:01
So sadly we are not in the next round of the FIFA SWC. However, we are now energized as a nation more than ever before. I do hope all the leaders at all levels in society (not just the politicians) do whatever is needed to harness this energy and use it to continue to build this wonderful country.
Listening to the various news broadcasts it is clear that the soccer community plans to do whatever it takes to be in the next FIFA SWC in Brazil and this time to get to the next round. What is very encouraging for me is that there is a:
- Clear, understandable, achievable and measurable vision
- Commitment to planning and then doing what needs to be done to achieve the vision
This simple lesson is a must learn for all of us. Life plans cannot be made without a clear vision. So beginning on a particular learning pathway without having a clear, achievable and measurable vision is pointless.
The question you need to ask yourself is what is my four year vision? Or more simply where do I see myself in 2014 when the next FIFA SWC takes place? Check that your vision is realistic, measurable, and make sure that it will energize you. I also urge you to go beyond a simple statement by visualizing the images that will be associated with achieving your vision.
When your vision is clear, planning and knowing what needs to be done to get there becomes a lot simpler. Write up your plan and then implement it. And to make it real link it to the next SWC, that makes it much more powerful.
Of course learning is part of you plan! Continuously developing your skills is part of living. We urge you to make sound learning decisions. The old adage “if it sound too good to be true it usually is” applies equally in the world of learning provision. Let’s keep up the spirit!
